Catholic Church, in Today's News 03.05.10

Catholic Church. Someone at the Vatican had better wake up, fast!!

Many news agencies are reporting an alleged sexual abuse case in the boys' choir of Regensburg, where the Pope's brother was choir director.

IOW, those who have prompted the sexual abuse campaigns against the Church in the United States, Ireland, and now Germany, are feeling so good about their successes (and the ridiculous Church response) that they are now taking aim at the Pope. And what better way to get at the Pope than to involve the Pope's brother in a scandal!!

The Vatican's initial response to the charges is dumb. The Vatican says that the Pope's brother led the choir after the alleged abuses occurred. This is not wise because those behind the charge always think two or three moves ahead. They could easily have another case in reserve from the years when the Pope's brother was in charge. All they could be waiting for is a statement like the Vatican's response to launch the next case. And then what is the Vatican going to say?

The Church leaders seem to have a complete inability to recognize an attack on the Church when it occurs. They are even less likely to explain what the attack is, who is behind it, and what the enemies of the Church want to accomplish.

The failure of the Church leaders to handle the sexual abuse charges correctly in country after country has paved the way for an attack on the Papacy. If the past inadequate response to the charges is not corrected, an extremely damaging assault on the Church's authority is about to begin.

The message to the Vatican is "WAKE UP!"

Catholic Church, in Today's News 10.16.09

Catholic Church. The Vatican announced today that the dialogue with Society of Saint Pius X will take place on October 26. The Vatican said the initial talks would focus on unresolved doctrinal issues. The Vatican also stipulated that the content of the meeting(s) would remain 'strictly private.'

Bishop Bernard Fellay, head of the SSPX, said the talks with the Vatican could take a long time.

So lets hope the SSPX knows what it is doing. The SSPX has agreed to a long series of talks with the Vatican that are private. In other words, the discussion in the Church over Vatican II that the SSPX has long wanted will now be confined to a few SSPX leaders and senior staff members of the Vatican.

The Vatican officials are schooled in double-talk and double-think. It will be quite easy for them to tie these talks up for a long, long time, perhaps endlessly. A skilled negotiator knows how to string out a discussion to the point of meaninglessness.

The situation almost looks like a trap. The SSPX is stuck in an arrangement that potentially has no end-point and that is unlikely to solve the issues. The only way out of the straight-jacket is to walk out of the talks.

Perhaps this the aim of the Vatican: to keep talking until they are able to force or to provoke the SSPX to split. The cards are certainly laid out to facilitate such a maneuver.

Bishop Fellay has proved himself in the past to be ingenious about parrying the Vatican's attempts to isolate him and the SSPX. We will now see what he will do in this latest set-up.

*****

The SSPX should expect that the Vatican will push, push, push on the issue of relations with the Jewish religion. The SSPX's failure to defend Bishop Williamson when he was under world-wide attack has left the SSPX vulnerable on this issue. The Vatican will not fail to exploit this opening in an attempt to put the SSPX on the defensive.

Catholic Church, in Today's News 10.14.09

Catholic Church. The Judaization of the Church continues apace. The Vatican has announced that Benedict XVI will visit the Rome synagogue and meet with the city's Jewish community in January.

The Pope did not wake up one morning and decide to make this visit. For someone of the stature of the Pope, a meeting such as this one, requires months of discussion, planning and arrangement-setting between the respective staffs. That all this occurred is indicated by the date chosen, which is a Jewish commemoration.

One would think the Church situation was just fine, and therefore important staff time can be spent on a visit to the Rome synagogue. But as any school child knows, the seminaries are still shutting down, religious have almost disappeared, pews are empty, etc. All these issues deserve the overriding attention of the central Church figures, and this doesn't even mention world events such as the economic crisis, threats of war, etc.

No, Benedict doesn't seem to prioritize what would seem to be the central Church problems. He has set a course to make nice to the those who follow the Talmud. Benedict has set an example through his actions for the whole Church that 'reconciliation' with the Rabbis is task number one. As a result the insidious influence of the Talmud creeps into the Church.

The Church has 2,000 years of experience on the questions of Judaization. Yet, Benedict, who presumably knows something about history, conveniently throws out all the Church experience without even a reference to it.

The humorous part of all this is: no matter how much Benedict does to please the Rabbis, it is still not enough. In his recent trip to Israel several influential figures among the Rabbis simply tore apart Benedict and especially his remarks on the holocaust.

Here's a list of what Benedict has done during his Papacy to show his support for Judaization: (the list mostly comes from an article by John Thavis at Catholic News Service)

** Visited the main New York synagogue.

** Visited the main Cologne, Germany synagogue.

** Visited Auschwitz.

** Traveled to Israel.

** Went to the wailing wall.

** Met holocaust survivors at the holocaust memorial in Jerusalem.

Also, there seems to be a steady stream of Judaic leaders to the Vatican to speak with Benedict.

H1N1 (Swine) Flu Update No 23, in Today's News 07.25.09

H1N1 (Swine)Flu. Well, what do you know? The Vatican finally did something that displays some good judgement. It's not perfect but it is a start!

The Juy 24 issue of the Vatican newspaper, L 'Osservatore Romano, has an interview with Dr. Giovanni Rocchi, a professor specializing in infectious diseases. He says the Vatican has avoided an alarmist [!] approach to dealing with the H1N1 virus based on the "serious, careful and balanced observation of data coming from the World Health Organization."

He and the Vatican, it seems, don't understand that this is just a scare campaign by the cryptocracy, but at least they are not being stampeded into joining in on the plans to panic the public.

Such a stance is not pleasing to the cryptocracy. If they had their way, the Vatican would be mobilizing its faithful to be really, really scared. And at the first sign of flu symptoms, parishes, schools, etc. should be closed. Also, the cryptocracy would be very pleased if the Vatican suspended public gatherings such as Papal addresses and audiences. The use of Church facilities to administer the vaccine would certainly be appreciated by the scare-campaign directors.

So, we will see what happens. The flu pandemic campaign directors cannot leave things with the Church as an unenthusiastic participant. You can bet that influence is being brought to bear on the Vatican from any number of sources to change its policy. And change it now.

Caritas in Veritate, in Today's News 07.08.09

Caritas in Veritate. Pope Benedict XVI's encyclical, "Caritas in Veritate," isn't available yet, but the media coverage and some quotes from it are truly dismaying, if not alarming.

The encyclical gives the cover of the Catholic Church to the most treasured aim of the cryptocracy, the establishment of a world government.

Today's Wall Street Journal's lead paragraph on the encyclical (page A11): "Pope Benedict XVI issued a rare papal critique of the global economic crisis Tuesday, calling for a 'true world political authority' charged with exercising greater oversight of financial markets." [Emphasis added.]

Further: "Pope Benedict said the United Nations and other international bodies need to 'acquire real teeth' to properly monitor markets, stem the current crisis and prevent future ones." [Emphasis added.]

IOW, the encyclical has put the Church strongly in favor of an international body that has the power to overrule duly constituted national governments!!!!! This position is truly shocking, and the cryptocracy could not have asked for anything better.

The rest of the document which criticizes the global economy as creating a growing divide between rich and poor, calling for "great social responsibility" on the part of business, and "rediscovering the genuinely ethical foundation of their [business] activity" is just so many words. The criticism is actually useful to the cryptocracy because in the context of support to the cryptocracy's goal, the Church leaders give the impression of a discussion. The cryptocracy is more than willing to allow such a discussion while they go ahead and pursue their aims.

The various suggestions in the document for reform could matter less for the cryptocracy. For the most part, the cryptocracy will ignore them.

As for the faithful, the document appears to be no help at all. It provides no guidance for the billion or so Catholics on what they are supposed to do. All it gives is some general truisms. As Michael Novak of the American Enterprise Institute said, "...the encyclical was stronger on principles than policy suggestions." (!) This wouldn't be so bad if the principles were actually applied to the real world.  Instead as one commentator observed the quotes tend to sound like what a beauty pageant contestant might say in answer to a question about the economic crisis.

Worrisome is the fact that the Vatican released the encyclical on the eve of the Group of 8 industrialized nations summit meeting. So, the Vatican is pathetically trying to be a player in this confab. And not only a player, but the most enthusiastic supporter of the cryptocracy's plans for these nations.

In short, the encyclical seems to be addressed to an audience of the world's elite, the rulers of world's superpowers and their bosses. But, the Pope is supposed to be the shepherd for the masses of world Catholicism and not be the chief Christian adviser to the diabolically-inspired cryptocracy. Where is the encyclical addressed to the great numbers of Catholics that gives the meaning of their situation in the world economic crisis and explains in concrete human terms what they should do about it?

**********
A reading of the actual encyclical may modify the above observations. But, truth to say, it is a daunting perspective to have to wade through 144 pages of vaticanese.

"Pope Visibly Upset over Abuse" in Ireland, in Today's News 06.08.09

"Pope Visibly Upset."  The Vatican response to the government-initiated report on abuse in Catholic institutions in Ireland is not off to a propitious start.

From the Irish Times: "Pope Benedict was 'visibly upset' when he heard details contained in the Ryan report on abuse in State institutions run by religious orders, Archbishop of Dublin Diamuld Martin said today."

"In a statement to journalists after today's meeting, Cardinal Brady said the Pope had 'listened very carefully, very attentively, very sympatheticly to what we had to say and he said in reply that this was a time for deep examination of life here in Ireland in the Church.'"

"He said the Pope urged them to establish the truth of what has happened, ensure that justice is done for all, put in place measures that will prevent these abuses happening again with a view to healing the survivors."

See previous commentary on this situation here.

Here we have a carefully planned, conscious assault on the authority of the Church in Ireland. The report itself is ambiguous, short on details, highly provocative, and opens the door for anyone wanting to make a buck to sue the Church.

The preliminary Vatican response described above indicates that the Vatican and the Irish Church officials will follow the pattern of the American response to similar charges, which was so successful (sarcasm) in the United States. In short, this response assumes the charges are legitimate, expresses deep sorrow, launches all manner of 'healing' procedures, sets up ineffective measures to prevent recurrence, and above all, forks over the money.

The alternative is to fight. It is not an easy fight to conduct. The opposition has all the emotional cards in their hand. But to not fight means the death of the influence of the Church in Ireland.

The Vatican officials seem oblivious to the concerted efforts to undermine the Church authority. There are many very powerful individuals, groups, and institutions in the world who are anti-Christian, and who are constantly looking for ways to destroy the Church's influence on humanity. Their efforts never stop.

The Vatican, sooner or later, is going to have to meet these challenges. That is, if it wants to survive. The Irish report is cleverly written and puts the Church on the defensive, but the Church leaders have to fight back somewhere.  The Church will be lost in Ireland if the current accommodationist approach is followed.

Pakistan Refugee Crisis, in Today's News 06.04.09

Pakistan Refugee Crisis.  According to the Wall Street Journal today the United States has pledged $200 million (if Congress approves) for a total of $300 million in a bid to quell a refugee crisis of three million displaced people.  "U.S. officials stressed on Wednesday that a quick and coordinated international response to Islamabad's emergency was crucial to underpinning recent gains Pakistan's army has made against the Taliban..."

So far there are no takers from other countries on providing aid.  The United States intends to put the arm on Arab countries to fork over during a tour of major Arab states next week by Richard Holbrooke, the Obama administration's point man on Pakistan. The United Nations sought $543 million to address the crisis, but has received only a fraction.  "The Obama administration is hoping that its quick (!) and high profile (!) response to the refugee crisis can win it points with the Pakistani public." (!!!)(Emphasis added.)

Comment:  This is almost too priceless for words.  The arrogance and stupidity of the American policy makers is beyond description.

The refugee crisis, which has gone from non-existent to three million in a few weeks, was brought about by the United States pressuring a reluctant Pakistan to wage a war on the Taliban in the Swat valley.  Apparently the US gave little thought to the consequences and now they have one of the worst refugee crises in world history on their hands.  All that mattered to the US was the attack on the Taliban.

Then when the crisis hit, the United States did not respond, putting pressure on the Pakistan government to pursue the war diligently and expeditiously.  When the US finally achieved some of its goals, the American policy makers promised a lousy, little stipend (with Congress potentially veto-ing it) to go to Pakistan.  And then, astoundingly, the US lets it be known that it expects other countries to pay for the crisis that the US policy created.  The US response has been anything but timely, and the only thing high-profile about it is the public appeal to other nations to pay.

The most amazing part of all this is the US saying their response will impress the Pakistani public. Yeah, right.  Three million people have had to abandon homes and livelihoods to move to small tents in sweltering camps under the ferocious sun where there is no food and little water and plenty of dust storms.  And every one of these refugees knows that it was the United States that got them into this mess. Not a few of them must be thinking or saying, 'Certainly living under the Taliban couldn't be any worse than this.'

And now the US policy makers think they will win these people over by a visit from Mr. Holbrooke to the camps, and by the promise of a few measly bucks.  Dream on, Washington. This is unbelievable.

And oh BTW, will the Vatican every get around to saying (let alone doing) something about three million innocent people who are experiencing unwanted and drastic suffering?  Now that the US media is talking about the refugees, maybe the Vatican can realize it is okay to be interested and can throw something together for the public.

in Today's News 05.21.09

1.  Ireland.  WSJ. "An Irish report concluded children were abused in Catholic-run institutions that operated until the 1990s."  The report is the product of The Commission to Inquire into Child Abuse set up by the Irish government.  The report, which fails to identify perpetrators, alleges beatings, rape and molestation in dozens of Catholic-run institutions.

And so, the cryptocracy campaign to destroy the influence of the Church in Ireland has reached its final stage.  The Christ-haters in the cryptocracy have long targeted the Church in Ireland because it is a bulwark of Catholicism in Europe and the world, and a supplier of priests to the world.  The cryptocracy-inspired secularization of Ireland has been running apace for some time now.  Attacks on the Church have become more and more common as the country has abandoned its Catholic heritage.

Now comes the semi-legal attack on sexual abuse.  The model is the United States where this sort of campaign has been so successful.  The blueprint is to find the inevitable abuse cases, publicize them out of all proportion to reality, generalize in the media that the abuse is characteristic of the entire Church, and sue the pants off the Church. The sine qua non of the campaign is to inveigle the Church hierarchy to be apologetic instead of fighting back.

The Irish report is typical.  It says the abuse occurred in dozens of institutions without naming them.  It places the abuse in the past (1930s to 1970s) which makes it more difficult to disprove the allegations.  The report alleges systematic abuse without systematic proof.  The report makes vague accusations and does not identify perpetrators (that will be left to trial attorneys who will be going after the big bucks.)  It pulls on heart strings by saying victims had difficulties in later life. All in all, a clever attempt at a complete smear of the Church.

This type of slanderous and scurrilous attack on the Church can only be successful if the Church leaders adopt a stance of saying they're sorry and then handing over the money.  That is what happened in the United States and it is what will happen in Ireland in all likelihood.

The question remains: what will the Vatican do?  If past behavior is any guide, the Vatican will say very little and what it does say will be so general as to be meaningless.

The truth is that the purveyors of shoah Catholicism have little interest in the continuation of a strong, traditional Catholic culture.  The ultimate goal of the Shoah Catholicism advocates is a Church based on the Noahide 'laws', which lead to a sort of universal all-encompassing Church.  Countries that were bastions of the Church like Ireland, Poland and Croatia have no place in the future Church as they see it.

2.  The New Government-Controlled Economy.  WSJ.  In an article titled "U.S. Rescue Aid Entrenched Itself," the following observation occurs, "Many of the other emergency measures created to prop up the financial system are developing an air of permanence."

This comes as no surprise to those in the know, of course.  The cryptocracy's job right now is to begin to acquaint the public with the new reality of government control that was forced through under cover of an economic emergency.  And so, now comes the spin that the emergency measures may have to stick around for a while.
