H1N1 (Swine) Flu. What is there to say about swine flu?

The directors of the swine-flu scare campaign set out to have a massive inoculation and public training event. But, they so mis-managed their ambitious plan that they actually managed to increase the suspicions of the American people regarding the safety of vaccines. The directors are now reduced to squabbling among themselves over whom is to blame for the mess-up and over whom is going to receive the vaccine. Even a congressional hearing has been scheduled. And these are the people who think they should rule the world.

As for the 'pandemic' itself: What we are seeing is the result of swine flu, but also seasonal flu (whose effects are the same as swine flu), media determination to have a public panic, some hysteria, and psychological suggestion.

H1N1 (Swine) Flu Update No 55, in Today's News 10.17.09

H1N1 (Swine) Flu. Oops, another screw-up by the directors of the swine flu scare campaign. Not only did they fail to arrange to have their vaccine ready at the same time that the campaign was to be in full swing. Now, it turns out that they will receive 25% less vaccine than reported.

The cryptocracy's goal of using this scare campaign to condition the public to accept vaccination (even mandatory vaccination) without protest is failing through sheer incompetence by the campaign directors. Instead of herding the public into a mass vaccination, they have succeeded in promoting the growth of public cynicism.

The latest Pew poll shows that 47% of adults were not planning to get the swine flu shot. Of them, 35% believed the vaccine was too risky or that it hasn't been tested thoroughly.

It must be very frustrating for those who would control the public to see so much intelligence among their subjects-to-be.

They said they were going to do it, and now they are doing it. The swine flu directors said a few weeks ago that they would publicize the deaths of children to try to convince the public of the danger of swine flu and the necessity of mass vaccination. And so, today the Center for Disease Control announced that 47 children have died from swine flu since the end of August. The CDC made the announcement with emotionally charged words and scare-mongering. 

These people have no shame!

Past experience demonstrates that if the CDC is reporting data, be extremely suspect. The CDC is a highly political entity and not above twisting data to serve their political ends. In this case, they just report the number without any other data. Lacking is whether the victims had underlying chronic illnesses or how these numbers compare with seasonal flu or even how they know it was swine flu and not seasonal flu.

A similar distortion is the statement found in today's Wall Street Journal, "...the new H1N1 flu has become widespread in 41 states." The impression is given that the flu bug is sweeping the nation. But, actually all the sentence says is that the flu bug is in 41 states, making it widespread. Again no data is provided. If a state has one case of swine flu, it makes the list of states. And the more states that can be reported with swine flu cases, the better for promoting hysteria.

 

H1N1 (Swine) Flu Update No 54, in Today's News 10.14.09

H1N1 (Swine) Flu. The swine-flu scare campaign directors keep trying to convince the public that the swine flu threat is really, really serious. Any little item that can somehow be blown up into something dramatic is good enough for them.

The Wall Street Journal today (page A6) reports that almost half of those afflicted with swine flu who went to the hospital had no chronic underlying condition. Sounds scary, right?  Well, so far a total of 644 people out of the entire American population fit this category. The WSJ also fails to compare this number with the numbers for seasonal flu. One can be sure that seasonal flu is probably worse.

The media and their employers want so much for there to be a swine flu pandemic, that they are willing stretch any little truth into a big, big deal.

Today's Agence French Press has an article that claims that seasonal flu is more deadly than swine flu. So far, so good. But the article goes on to say that a second wave of swine flu should be expected any time now. Try, try again. The first wave was a complete dud. So now, the scare campaign directors are going to try to conjure up the real deal for a second wave.

H1N1 (Swine) Flu Update No 51, in Today's News 10.07.09

H1N1 (Swine) Flu. Canada decided to postpone or limit seasonal-flu vaccination programs because an authoritative study has shown that it is easier to contract swine flu if one has annual seasonal flu shots!!

Here's a great quote (from today's Wall Street Journal page A6) from Perry Kendall, provincial health officer for British Colombia, "Concurrent inoculations for seasonal flu and H!N1--as are being given in the U.S. and other countries--would be a logistical nightmare, and it is unclear what will happen if both vaccines are administered at the same time. We don't know if you can give H1N1 in one arm and another in the other arm. Does one vaccine trump the other?"

And so the swine-flu-scare campaign directors screw up again. The failed to foresee such elementary questions as Kendall's. The authorities really have no idea what the swine flu bug is all about. And they know even less about the vaccine and its effects.

All that is important to them is to stampede the public into receiving their vaccine.

Perhaps in partial answer to the above, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius appealed anew today for widespread inoculation against a surging swine flu threat, calling the vaccine is unconditionally "safe and secure."

One wonders if she is worried about eating those words someday in the future.

The public is not buying all the hype about swine flu and the vaccine. The resistance is so great that it has forced Sebelius into making very risky statements.

New information such as the Canadian action only adds to the doubts of Americans about swine flu.

The publicity barrage has begun by the swine-flu campaign directors. Articles on this and that aspect of the flu are beginning to appear daily. Television infomercials are due to appear any day.

Hang on to your hats. The authorities are desperate to save their campaign, and they may say anything to convince the public to get shots.

H1N1 (Swine) Flu Update No 50, in Today's News 10.05.09

H1N1 (Swine) Flu. The cryptocracy must be thinking: What a group of incompetent boobs are running our current campaign to institute mandatory vaccination!!!

First, the directors of the campaign over-sold the danger from swine flu. As a result public cynicism flowered.

Next, they failed to allow enough time to test the vaccine. This too undermined public confidence in the government's swine-flu efforts.

Next, they managed to have the vaccine available weeks after the pandemic was supposed to strike. Their carefully planned schedule for developing the campaign was blown out of the water. As a result that had to bring their media propaganda virtually to a halt for a few weeks to allow the vaccine producers to catch up.

Now, they failed to figure out that a large number of skilled personnel will be needed to administer the vaccine. Today's Wall Street Journal (page one): "...state and local budget cuts coupled with limits on who can administer the vaccine cold hamstring the campaign."

The cryptocracy must be bewildered by the inability of their employees to carry out their tasks in a competent manner.

Be prepared now for the campaign directors' desperate efforts to avoid disaster. Scare tactics and a massive media blast are coming. "But health officials expect demand to rise as they unleash [!!] a media campaign to promote the vaccine and if the public hears more reports of deaths of otherwise healthy adults and children..." [Emphasis added.]

Plus, the campaign directors always have in their back pocket the 'discovery' that swine flu has morphed into something much worse.

H1N1 (Swine) Flu Update No 49, in Today's News 09.30.09

H1N1 (Swine) Flu. The cryptocracy is plenty worried about the success of their swine-flu-scare campaign. After months and months of loud propaganda on the dangers of the flu bug, the American public has refused to buy in.

The Wall Street Journal has an opinion piece today on the problem. Titled "How the First Family Can Lead on Swine Flu," it appears on page A21. Here are some key quotes:

"...it appears that many people are not planning to get the Swine Flu shot."

"A recent survey...shows that about three-quarters of Americans believe that neither they nor their family members or friends will contract H1N1..."

"A poll...reveals that 40% of parents plan to inoculate their children."

The data shows that the massive and unprecedented campaign to frighten the public to stampede into lining up for their shot, has failed miserably. Apparently the American public is a lot more intelligent than the cryptocracy believes.

The managers of the campaign screwed up big time by not having the vaccine available when the propaganda effort peaked. The scare campaign lost momentum and then the entrenched skepticism of the American public took hold. The campaign directors also lost credibility by over-selling their product. Their projections indicated a crisis of mammoth proportions that would take a shut-down of society to stop. Even the cryptocracy took exception to these plans and told the directors to cool it.

Now begins the cryptocracy effort to try to save their cherished drive to establish mandatory inoculations. The WSJ article authors' suggestion on motivating the public is for the President and family to receive shots in a very public way. Expect also a big propaganda push in the media in the next few weeks. Authoritative spokespeople will try their hand at scaring the public. Misleading data on the number of swine-flu cases will probably appear.

Then comes the big decision for the cryptocracy: whether to suddenly discover that the bug has transformed into a more dangerous bug.

Incidentally, the cryptocracy must be exasperated that their chosen directors were unable to pull of their assignment: to train the public to accept inoculation without protest and at the direction of their 'leaders.' What the cryptocracy may do next to accomplish their goal is a matter of some concern.

H1N1 (Swine) Flu Update No 48, in Today's News 09.29.09

H1N1 (Swine) Flu. Today's Wall Street Journal has a revealing article that sheds light on why the swine flu scare campaign is so important to the cryptocracy, and why we can expect more of these campaigns in the future.

Here are some quotes from an article titled, "U.S. Drug Companies Chase Vaccines; Abbot, J&J and Merck, Through a Spate of Deals, Expand in a Category with Built-in Buyers" [!!]:

"The deals reflect the growing conviction among pharmaceutical executives that vaccines against a variety of maladies, long an industry stepchild, will become an increasingly important source of growth to replace aging blockbusters that are poised to lose patent protections."

"Vaccine sales are growing faster than sales of other prescription medicines and are largely immune to the generic competition that is already costing drug makers billions of dollars in revenue on their top-selling treatments."

"Moreover, government agencies both in the US and around the world are increasingly reliable buyers of vaccine as they seek to stockpile medicines that could help protect the public in case of a major flu outbreak."

And so, one of the purposes of the drive toward mandatory vaccinations is to bail out the big drug companies. Health necessity has very little to do with it. The goal is get the public used to receiving vaccinations for more and more ailments. That way the profits of the drug makers are assured.

If there are promoters of the swine flu vaccine who have a conscience, one would hope that facts as revealed in the WSJ article would steer them in a better direction.

One would also hope that the Catholic leaders in this country would take some time off from being loyal supporters of the American way, and look into matters such as this vaccination fraud. A fraud that will only harm the faithful.

H1N1 (Swine) Flu Update No 44, in Today's News 09.11.09

H1N1 (Swine) Flu. Michel Chossudovsky of the Centre for Research on Globalization has written an informative article, "The H1N1 Swine Flu Pandemic: Manipulating the Data to Justify a Worldwide Public Health Emergency."

The article is long, but well worth the read. Circulate it to a friend.

His conclusion: "What we are dealing with is a big lie. A process of generating fake data which is then used to justify a nationwide vaccination program."

H1N1 (Swine) Flu Update No 43, in Today's News 09.09.09

H1N1 (Swine) Flu. The media and the government are doing anything necessary to convince the public that swine flu is dangerous. Once again they are playing with the data.

Today's Wall Street Journal (page A3) reports that more than "2,500 students have reported becoming ill at Washington State University..." And, "Emory University...had more than 220 ill students..." And, "About 25,000 students were dismissed from 24 secondary schools due to the flu..."

This data is supposed to justify the unprecedented scare campaign against swine flu. But note carefully: the students at WSU and Emory are not even reported as having the flu, let alone swine flu. They are reported as being "ill"!!!! Note also that the 25,000 students in secondary schools are reported as having the "flu," not swine flu. [By the way, the 25,000 number comes from the Center for Disease Control whose data has been notoriously unreliable.]

So where is the swine flu? Where is the great danger that is mobilizing government and other agencies all over the world?

Expect more of this dishonest reporting.

And now for the ominous part: "A campaign to urge Americans to get vaccinated for both seasonal and the new H1N1 flu is also in the works, with some efforts staring this week."

If what has been occurring during the last several months is not a campaign, one wonders what this campaign is going to be like. Are they building toward mandatory vaccination?

H1N1 (Swine) Flu Update No 40, in Today's News 09.04.09

H1N1 (Swine) Flu. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced yesterday what was obvious to any serious observer months ago: "...most people [who are infected with swine flu] will not be severely ill," David Frieden, director of the CDC.

A few weeks ago the CDC was predicting that the Intensive Care Units at hospitals would be overwhelmed by the spread of the virus. Today the CDC says: oh, never mind. No reference is made to the previous projection; no explanation of how they could have made such an error. No need for that; the head bureaucrat has spoken and that is all the public has to know.

And so, why would the CDC make this announcement after campaigning for months on the deadly seriousness of swine flu? 

The CDC and others directing this campaign screwed up and did not allow enough time to produce the vaccine that will be needed. In other words, they will not have sufficient vaccine to engineer their scare campaign to herd everyone into getting their shots.

What to do? What to do?

Simple, very simple. The CDC all of a sudden happened to discover that the virus is not so serious, and therefore only one vaccination will be needed, instead of the projected two.

And wallah!! Miraculously they have enough vaccine. 

The cynical manipulation of the public by these people is truly amazing. 

H1N1 (Swine) Flu Update No 39, in Today's News 09.01.09

H1N1 (Swine) Flu. The scare campaign directors continue to backtrack from their projections of the summer months. If they had their way with those guidelines, schools, businesses, churches, etc. would have closed down at the first sign of sniffles. However, someone higher up in the cryptocracy must have told them to cool it; all that is required is to herd everyone into getting their shots; there is no need to close down society.

Today's news story on swine flu is in this vein. Daniel Perez of the University of Maryland-based Prevention and Control of Avian Influenza Coordinated Agricultural Project stated that "Fears that the H1N1 swine flu will turn into a 'superbug' this year may be unfounded." (Quote is from HealthDay News article.)

A couple of weeks ago it looked like the campaign directors had backed off from their scare projection of the swine flu mutating into something much worse. Perez's research confirms their decision.

But, have no fear, Perez nonetheless makes a big pitch for everyone getting their swine flu shots. Perez: "Our findings underscore the need for vaccinating against the pandemic [swine] flu this season."

So, objectively, Perez's intervention is to rationalize the campaign's pull back and yet to strongly support the overall goal of getting everyone to accept their shots without protest.

On another front The Journal of American Medical Association on August 12 contained an article on swine flu by Doctors David Morens and Jeffrey Taubenberger. They challenged the notion that a mid flu in the spring can herald a more severe resurgence in the fall. They studied 14 major flu epidemics dating to the 16th century and found no [!!!] evidence supporting the 'herald waves' theory. [Emphasis added.]

The 'herald waves' theory is exactly what the Center for Disease Control and others directing the scare campaign have been peddling. For months they have been talking about how the swine flu will severely expand in the fall because the virus kept going in the warm summer months.

So, maybe there are few people in the higher reaches of society who have some common sense and are not afraid to challenge the scaremongers.

The preposterous projections of the scare campaign directors have spawned numerous critical commentators on the internet. The directors seem to be a little concerned that these critics may have some effect.

And so, a few editorials have appeared here and there warning readers to pay no attention to these critics. Instead they should go to the official government sites to get the 'real facts'. 

The Daily Herald, a newspaper in suburban Chicago, carried an editorial along these lines. "We're disturbed by the recent flurry of rumors about the flu pandemic swirling around the Internet and, no doubt, your inbox...listening on the wrong kind of advice can be dangerous -- for you, for your family and for others to whom you might repeat or forward inaccurate information...we urge you to turn to these accurate, comprehensive site for information about H1N1." Four sites are listed: the US Department of Health and Human Services, CDC, Illinois Department of Public Health, and World Health Organization.

It seems that the Herald believes that only the information from government sites is accurate. The contrary is actually the case. 

The official projections for this flu have been other-worldly, the testing of the vaccine has been inadequate, and the instances of infection have resulted in minimal illness. So if you want to know what the scaremongers are saying to convince you that this flu is really, really serious, then read the recommended sites. If you want to know what is really occurring pay attention to the 'rumors' the Herald warns against.

H1N1 (Swine) Flu Update No 38, in Today's News 08.31.09

H1N1 (Swine) Flu. It certainly would be interesting to know the identities of the directors and brain trust behind the swine-flu-scare campaign.

Whoever they are, they have thought this effort out very carefully. They devised a detailed schedule, thought through all the possible objections, made assignments to many key personnel, and have issued an almost daily stream of media releases on various aspects of their campaign.

Today's media release is designed to convince the public that there can be no substitute for the directors' precious swine-flu vaccine. The Tribune Newspapers carried an article today by one Shari Roan, "Misuse of flu treatment alarming."

The lead paragraph: "Indiscriminate use of anti-viral medications to prevent and treat influenza could ease the way for drug-resistant strains of the H1N1 virus, or swine flu, to emerge, public health officials warn -- making the fight against a pandemic that much harder."

In other words, if you take a medication other than the vaccine you will actually be making the pandemic worse!!!! [These people have no shame. They will use any argument, true or false, to stampede the public into getting their shots.]

Also note: the long-expected announcement that the swine flu virus has mutated to something more dangerous is hinted at in this release. The public officials' warning actually lays the basis for blaming the public (!) for a mutation. [They have no shame.]

President Alvaro Uribe of Columbia is playing his part and earning some much-needed brownie points from the cryptocracy. His office announced today that he has swine flu, and that they are contacting other South American governments whose leaders attended a summit last week with the Colombian leader.

The idea here is to persuade the Latin American governments to shape up and be an enthusiastic part of the panic campaign.

Get this paragraph from the Associated Press, "Uribe, 57, is not considered a high-risk patient and will continue working from his computer, officials said. Public Health director Giberto Alvarez said there is no need to put Uribe in isolation."

So, in other words he is not seriously ill, but nonetheless all the South American governments are told to be on alert!!

No details are given on the illness. Is it sniffles or is it more involved? Also, it is not revealed how they know it is swine flu; it is just asserted.

So, you can be forgiven, if you believe that this is all a sham, designed to continue the stream of warnings that everyone, that is everyone, should get their vaccinations. 

H1N1 (Swine) Flu Update No 37, in Today's News 08.28.09

H1N1 (Swine) Flu. We are now at the stage in the scare campaign when reporters and editors begin falling over themselves to please the cryptocracy and the directors of the swine flu panic.

Today the Associated Press released an article, "H1N1 flu on rise on college campuses." In this article we learn:

--Georgia Tech has had 150 suspected cases (out of 20,000 students)[less than 1%].

--University of Kansas has had almost 200 students with flulike symptoms. [Even a smaller percentage of the student body.]

--University of Alabama had more than 50 [51?] cases of flu reported.

--Texas Christian University had [a whopping] 10 students diagnosed. 

And that's it. That's what justifies a headline about swine flu on the rise on college campuses! A more accurate headline would have been 'normal flu rates at four colleges.'

The reportage is ridiculous because:

--No actual cases of swine flu have been reported!!! All we get is 'suspected cases', 'flulike symptoms,' and cases of everyday flu.

--The normal rate of flu at the beginning of the school year is not reported and compared to this year's. 

--There is no reportage about whether anyone actually became seriously ill, or whether all this is just sniffles.

Expect more 'reports' like this one in the coming days. Independent investigative journalism is a thing of the past. Now journalism is simply a reporting of what the cryptocracy and their employees want reported.

The scare campaign directors took a little longer than expected to try to scare the daylight out of pregnant women. 

To enhance and give credibility to the directors' warning, the directors brought in a spokesperson for the American College of Nurse-Midwives to say pregnant women should get the vaccine. Presumably women would be more likely to believe someone from an organization with that name, who says, "By not getting the flu yourself, you are going to protect your children better."

In other words, 'you are being a horrible mother who doesn't care for your kids if you don't get the flu vaccine; and moreover, your kids will be infected with this terrible flu.' Pure demagogy and scare/panic tactics.

The delay in the announcement was probably due to finding a suitable spokesperson and then briefing her on the allegedly dire consequences for pregnant women to not receive the vaccine.

H1N1 (Swine) Flu Update No 35, in Today's News 08.25.09

H1N1 (Swine) Flu. The scare campaign directors are bringing out the big guns as their drive prepares for the fall launch.

The President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology issued a report Monday which projects as many as 90,000 deaths from H1N1. (!!!!) They also think that it is 'plausible' that 60 to 120 million Americans - 20% to 40% of the U.S. population - could become infected. [!!!] And get this: up to 1.8 million needing hospital care.

As with the calculations from the Center for Disease Control, no basis for the estimate is given. For all we know, they just picked the numbers out of the air.

Again, all this is for a virus that is not very serious. Even the panel report admits this. Quoting from a WSJ article on the report today, "As many as half of the U.S. population could be infected, including many who wouldn't develop any symptoms [!!!!], the panel said, and the vast majority of those infected wouldn't become seriously ill." [!!!!!!] [Emphasis added.]

This enormous and unprecedented swine flu campaign had to be planned a long time ago with assignments and deadlines handed out to the various players. Any one who has participated in the writing of a report in committee knows it takes far longer than this panel took to create a report. And so they must have started well before the swine flu campaign was announced.

The following one-paragraph story came out of Atlanta today. Atlanta is the home of the CDC and one of the central planning sites for the scare campaign.

"It will likely be Thanksgiving before a significant number of Americans who get the swine flu vaccine are protected, health officials said Monday. Roughly 50 million doses of vaccine are expected to be available by mid-October. But for those who get initial doses right away, that will only mark the beginning of the process that will take five or more weeks."

This is a major screw-up by the directors of the scare campaign. They planned for months this fall's big drive to panic everyone into getting their vaccination. And now, guess what, there won't be enough vaccine. The cryptocracy leaders can only shake their heads in disbelief at the incompetence of those planning the campaign. The planners are in danger of undermining all their efforts by not having enough vaccine. What a joke these people are!!!

Also, did any of them think through the enormity of the administrative task of keeping track who has received the first shot and is ready for a second? Someone gets a shot and five weeks later when it is time for a second, this person may be hundreds of mile away. Who keeps track of this and authorizes the second shot? 

And what about the person who gets a seasonal flu shot and then shows up for their second swine flu shot believing they already had the swine shot number one. Someone will have to records of this person's vaccination history, and someone will have to spend time convincing him or her that he or she needs shot number one.

Or what the person who has the first shot and then shows up a week later for the second. Someone will have to have this person's records handy, and then someone will have to explain the whole procedure to him or her, wasting precious time.

This is a nightmare that only a bureaucrat sitting behind a desk could dream up.

H1N1 (Swine) Flu Update No 34, in Today's News 08.21.09

H1N1 (Swine) Flu. One of the underlying aims of the ridiculous swine flu scare campaign came to light today.

The Associated Press released an article today by Lauran Neergaard titled "Children, parents called key to curb flu." The lead paragraph: "New research says the best way to protect society's most vulnerable from the flu is to vaccinate school age children and their parents."

"But Thursday's study, in the journal Science, says vaccinating students should be a priority every year [!!!!!!] because school-age children are influenza's prime spreaders and their parents are the virus' bridge to the rest of the community." [Emphasis added.]

The cryptocracy's goal all along in the scare campaign has been to accustom the population to receive 'vaccination' shots regularly without protest. What better way to train the public than to get the kids and their young parents used to their annual shot. As they become older the ritual will spread throughout society.

One can only speculate on why this goal is so important to the cryptocracy. But, certainly with the advance in tranquilizing drugs it can not be far from their minds that they could sedate the entire population. A drugged population would be not be resistant to (they might even be 'happy' about) the plans of the world rulers.

Today's segment of the population who received their orders on what to do in this fall's swine flu events was the institutes of higher learning. 

Again, someone higher up told the campaign directors that they had gone too far when they urged a couple of months ago that campuses should close at the first sign of flu. Now they say students should be isolated and campuses left open.

In their usual arrogant way they neglect to mention that this orientation is a change. Nor do they explain why the change occurred. They can't explain, of course, because if they did, it would give the whole secret game away.

What segment of the population will the campaign directors target tomorrow? Surprisingly, they haven't yet attempted in the current instructions to scare the daylights out of pregnant women.  

H1N1 (Swine) Flu Update No 33, in Today's News 08.20.09

H1N1 (Swine) Flu. Today is the day that the directors of the scare campaign around swine flu tell businesses what to do. 

They've toned it down from their directives a couple of months ago. Then they were talking about businesses going on crash programs to counter the threat and about the need to close businesses down.

Today, they are stressing that employees should stay home if they have the flu.

It must be remembered that this flu has caused very few problems. Most people experience mild symptoms. One victim with swine flu played a game of major league soccer!

It would seem that the scare campaign directors are relying heavily on the power of suggestion. For months they have been drumming away on the danger of swine flu. So it can be counted on that a certain number, who are afflicted, will talk themselves into being very sick, just because they believe that is what is supposed to happen. 

Without the publicity this bug would be no more noticed than every day flu.

The planners of this campaign to stampede people into accepting vaccine shots without protest screwed up a bit. Government officials said today that only about 45 million doses of H1N1 vaccine will be available by October 15. This number is not nearly the amount that is needed to carry out the planners' ambitious goals.

In addition, the testing of the vaccine will not be completed until the time the first batch of the vaccine is available. This testing has been rushed, superficial, and completely inadequate. The public would be well-advised to avoid the shots.

H1N1 (Swine) Flu Update No 32, in Today's News 08.17.09

H1N1 (Swine) Flu. The big push to stampeded school-age children and their young parents into lining up for their swine flu shots is about to begin.

There was a slight lull in the drumbeat for the swine-flu campaign recently as the directors re-thought some of their plans, such as keeping schools open instead of closing them. But now the drive to implement the plans begins.

The media is playing their assigned role by pouring out the news-articles on the school vaccination program. The Associated Press on August 17 issued a long article on the plans in various school districts. For example, "In South Carolina 'there will be a massive [!!] attempt to use schools as vaccination centers,' said state Superintendent Jim Rex." (Rex, by the way, will be receiving a load of brownie points from the swine-flu campaign directors for his enthusiastic support of their plans.) [Emphasis added.]

Of interest: "Some big states, like California, Ohio and Massachusetts, are focusing on those [prevention] steps and not on vaccination, because they don't know how much vaccine the federal government will send or when it will arrive." This is a major screw-up by the national directors of this campaign. They failed to ensure that there would be enough vaccine to carry out their ambitious plans.

Also, "Boston has decided against in-school vaccinations because an attempt at regular winter flu inoculation at a middle school last year flopped..." The Boston experience will be repeated in many places this fall. It is an unusual administrative task to keep track of who has had what shots, etc., and most schools are ill-equipped to perform this task successfully. Another screw-up.

Critical commentators on this campaign are calling this 'voluntary' vaccination program mandatory. And that is exactly the intent of those planning these vaccinations.

Every one is getting in on the act. The National Association of County and City Heath Officials ran an online seminar last week on how to run school flu vaccinations.

The August 18 Wall Street Journal ran a large spread on page D1 on swine flu. Here' an important quote: "'What we are seeing looks very much like seasonal flu to far,' Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said earlier this month. Most people suffer unpleasant but not life-threatening symptoms such as fever, body aches, sore throat and runny nose." And so here we have the same old conundrum: why is an unprecedented vaccination campaign being organized for something that is not serious at all? Is there something else involved? Like a planned effort to train the public to accept inoculations without question.

Also, the WSJ, interestingly, reports a public concern about the safety of the vaccine. A well-founded concern, one might add. The testing of this vaccine is late and superficial. (Another screw-up by the directors.) Among the worries about the vaccine include actually getting the flu from the vaccine, the presence of thimerosal which contains mercury, and a side-effect of Guillain-Barre' Syndrome. Hundreds of people developed this side-effect in the 1976 vaccine campaign.
